For life sciences partners
Promatica designs and runs healthcare programmes inside NHS general practice. PRISM finds the right patients in GP records, practice clinicians decide who is offered care, and we report the outcomes back. One partner, one governed route into primary care, from first feasibility count to evidence at scale.
What we deliver
Research and trial recruitment
Feasibility counts against your criteria, then identification of potentially eligible patients across participating practices, with invitations sent by the practice.
Real world evidence
Before and after outcomes from coded GP records, including clinical markers, prescribing and healthcare use, reported in a form that supports payer and medical affairs conversations.
Funded clinical programmes
Clinician led services that find under treated patients, review them against national guidance and record every decision back into the GP record.
Why Promatica
- Direct to the GP record. PRISM connects to EMIS Web and SystmOne through NHS assured IM1 interfaces and refreshes nightly, so patient lists stay current.
- Clinically led. We are led by NHS clinicians, including a pharmacist Chief Clinical Officer, and PRISM is overseen by our Clinical Safety Officers.
- Outcomes, not activity. The same platform that finds patients measures what happened next, so the evidence comes from the programme itself.
- One delivery partner. Practice engagement, searches, clinical review, fileback and reporting sit with one team rather than several suppliers.
How a programme works
| What you bring | The clinical question, the patient population and the outcomes that matter to you. |
| What Promatica does | Designs the protocol and searches, completes the governance, engages practices and runs delivery through PRISM. |
| What the practice does | Its clinicians review identified patients and decide who is offered care or invited to take part. |
| What is reported back | Aggregated, anonymised activity and outcome data. No patient identifiable data leaves the NHS. |
1. Feasibility
How many eligible patients, in which practices.
2. Pilot
A small group of practices proves delivery and early outcomes.
3. Scale
Roll out across practices and regions with consistent reporting.
Governance built in
- Programmes structured in line with the ABPI Code of Practice.
- NHS clinicians make every clinical decision. Partners never see patient identifiable data.
- Data stays in the NHS: UK only hosting on HSCN, DSPT Standards Exceeded, DCB0129 clinical safety case.
Programmes in practice
Diabetes
CGM in primary care
HbA1c fell by 17.7 mmol/mol on average within six months, with fewer patients needing insulin.
Rare dermatology
Rare disease real world evidence
A clinically validated way to find a hard to see condition in GP records, now supporting a real world evidence study and trial recruitment.
